The Hill We Climb
CSVPA - 2021
The Hill We Climb was an assignment for my Visual Communication course. It is a kinetic typography video featuring the poem written by Amanda Gorman. Motion graphics were done by myself and illustrations by fellow graduate, Aisha Piquer Planella. After hearing Amanda’s words spoken at Biden’s inauguration, I became inspired and wanted to bring them to life.

Them
CSVPA - 2021
As a minority, I stand with those who have been discriminated against and whose lives have been taken due to not being able to hide. But the truth of the matter is that we shouldn’t have to hide. We’re who we are and our skin color should have no bearing on our abilities, our choices and our lives. “Them” is a unification of both powerful photography and compelling storytelling visually produced in video form documenting the stories of the untold in hopes of changing society’s behavior and embracing diversity.

FLAVOUR - Mexican x Peruvian Edition
CSVPA + HEARST - 2021
FLAVOUR (Foreigners Learn About Variety of Unknown Recipes) was a YouTube series pitch for Hearst’s company, Delish. As part of a mentorship program with Delish, I was tasked in creating a video series specifically meant for YouTube. The series concept was to feature expats trying their hand at making local British foods. This was the video kickoff and meant to jumpstart ideas regarding long-form videos on a social channel Delish previously didn’t focus on.

Street Child - Sri Lanka Home Learning
Street child - 2021
In response to school closures due to COVID-19, Street Child implemented a pilot learning intervention to provide rapid access to supported home-based learning in English for 1,000 students in Sri Lanka. This innovative program allowed students to continue their studies without any interruption with schools closed. This video was shot by staff in Sri Lanka, but edited together by me and showcased on Street Child’s Facebook and Instagram channels.

We Are ONT: Meet Steve
ONt - 2019
We Are ONT was a new series we were launching at ONT that spotlighted employees working throughout the airport. This was the official kickoff feature that tells the story of Steve, a TSA worker who spent his freetime saving animals (mainly dogs) throughout the western states. The goal of this series was to introduce the public to more faces that worked behind the scenes at the airport.

ONT Updates
ONT - 2020
After COVID-19 hit the world, drastic changes had to be made in the travel industry. This video was created to allow ONT to be transparent in what they were doing to keep their passengers and the community safe. It features all the upgrades and changes integrated in the new traveling experience.

Paw Squad + PrePaid Parking
ONT - 2019
PrePay Parking is not an exciting concept in itself. But if you add the ever-so-cute ONT Paw Squad into the mix, you might just want to take advantage of this handy amenity. When first tasked with this project, I knew I didn’t want to do the same old boring how-to video with a phantom hand holding a phone and trying to book a parking space. PrePay Parking was new to ONT and they needed a way to show the public the process. With the help of the Paw Squad, I created a fun step-by-step video

BYOP (Bring Your Own Pancake)
DFW Airport - 2018
Pancakes and airports usually aren’t two things that go together. A new IHOP was opening in one of the terminals and I was tasked with creating a video for social to let everyone know. After brainstorming new ideas, we wondered what would happen if we took pancakes through TSA. And that is what we decided to try. The video was shot in one day and did great on DFW’s social channels. It was a fun idea and unique way to introduce IHOP to the DFW community.

Hello, Smashburger!
DFW Airport - 2018
The delicious Smashburger had finally entered the terminals at DFW Airport and the Concessions Team wanted a spotlight on it. We were entrusted to create a short video for social media so I took a few appetizing shots and put together a fun feature with lively music. After completing the video, it debuted on Facebook and Twitter.

An Aura of Hope
Casita copan - 2016
Working at Casita Copan, I mostly worked on silly videos that featured the kids smiling and happy. This was the first video that focused on a more serious topic with the story of a single mother and her struggle of living in Copan. This was also the first video where I experimented more with text and motion graphics. Ultimately the goal of videos like these is to show the donors how their contributions directly affect the families. An Aura of Hope was the kickoff feature to the winter campaign so it was posted on Casita’s YouTube, Facebook and Instagram page and helped to bring in donations.

Growing Up Ain’t Easy
casita copan - 2016
Part of the social plan for Casita was to create content for special holidays and campaigns throughout the year. Since Casita’s birthday fell on Honduran’s Children’s Day, I wanted to do a fun video to commemorate both. I came up with the idea of the kids switching lives with the staff and how we all would react in that crazy situation. All of the staff thought it was a great idea and agreed to be featured. The video was shot within a few hours and then posted on Casita’s YouTube, Facebook and Instagram pages. It is still one of my favorite video experiences to date.
